Dr. Alton K. Parks,Sr.
Sr. Pastor of Historic People's Community Church
Dr. Alton K. Parks, Sr. is a native of Detroit, MI. He began his preaching ministry at 15
years of age at Greater Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr.
William H. Murphy, Sr.
In 2017 Dr. Alton K. Parks, Sr. received release from Dr. William H. Murphy, Sr to
connect with Bishop Edgar L. Vann, II of the Second Ebenezer Church as his spiritual
covering along with uniting with Kingdom Alliance Covenant Fellowship of which
Bishop Vann is the Presiding Prelate.

Dr. Alton K. Parks, Sr, has earned a
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Baker College in Flint, MI.
• Master of Arts in Religion with an emphasis in Pastoral Counseling
• Master of Divinity
• Doctor of Ministry with an emphasis in Pastoral Counseling
All graduate education was earned at Liberty University John W. Rawlings School of
Divinity in Lynchburg, Virginia, an ATS (Association of Theological Schools) accredited
school.
Dr. Alton K. Parks, Sr is a Nationally Certified Marital/Pre-Marital Facilitator for
Prepare/Enrich & SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts). He also holds a
Suicide PAIR Certificate of Completion for suicide training and prevention.
Organizations: Dr. Alton K. Parks, Sr is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc
also he is a member of the NAACP Religious Affairs Committee, Director of Protocol for the State of Michigan for the Global United Fellowship under the leadership of Presiding Prelate His Grace Bishop Neil C. Ellis.
Dr. Alton K. Parks, Sr. currently serves as the Senior Pastor of Historic People’s
Community Church of Detroit, MI., Previously served as the Senior Pastor of Samaritan Missionary Baptist Church from 2017 to 2021. Dr. Parks is married to Mrs. Dell J. Parks, and together, they have six children and three grandchildren.
Dr. Alton K. Parks, Sr believes in preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ with practicality,
and a human touch that will aid in “changing a generation” one life at a time.

Lady Dell J Parks is the loving wife of Pastor Alton K Parks Sr. Lady Parks met Pastor Parks at Greater Ebenezer Ministries in 2006, and married Valentine's Day 2015. Lady Parks works in several ministries (Deaconess, Greeters, and Outreach). Lady Parks loves people, and it is shown in the service she provides whether it's in church or in the secular world. Lady Parks is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. where she commits to community service. For the last 24 years Lady Parks has worked in healthcare, the last 12 was as a Surgical Technologist. Most recently Lady Parks made a transition in careers and now works for the State of Michigan. Lady Parks is all about serving and helping those in need. Lady Parks lives by her favorite scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths”. God has Blessed Lady Parks with six beautiful children and three granddaughters that she shares with her husband. Lady Parks is a servant of God; she obeys, praise, and worship like the loving Christian she is.
